Earning the App Development with Swift Certified User certification demonstrates knowledge of common concepts and practices that Swift developers use while building basic fluency in Xcode source and UI editors. Students will be able to create iOS apps that adhere to standard practices, including the use of stock UI elements, layout techniques, and common navigation interfaces. Objective domains include Xcode Developer Tools (Xcode interface, Interface Builder, documentation, build and run apps, debugging techniques with breakpoints, watchpoints, logging), Swift Programming Language (basic types and operators, type casting, collections like arrays and dictionaries, control flow with Guard and range operators, functions, structs and classes with properties and methods, Optional types and unwrapping, variable scope), and View Building with SwiftUI (position and layout Views, multi-view logic, List Views for collections, Subview extraction, multi-view apps with navigation Stacks/Links/Sheets, @State, @Binding, @Environment, Observable).
