The Carpentry Short Certificate is a 28-credit-hour program providing job preparation through job-related live-work experiences. Students study the history and theory of working with wood and related materials, gaining experience with hand tools, power tools, and industry equipment. Coursework includes basic joists, job planning, blueprint reading, layout and excavation, foundation and form building, floors, walls, ceilings, roofing, and interior and exterior finishes.
