Note from the Texas Board of Public Accountancy: You can only refer to yourself as a CPA, accountant or auditor if you are a licensed CPA in the state of Texas. See Section 901.453 of The Public Accountancy Act. In addition, a CPA should avoid the use of terms such as "specialist".
